I've travelled a long road, I'm walking a fine line.

So we are into the final countdown, Bloggo.
To give you some idea of where to place your final £1 and time guess for Tiny Tim’s Children’s Centre and Newlife, some information
Last week???
Tuesday: 93 mins country and road. Adductors sore as usual. Toe chronic.
Wednesday: 5 mile flat out, hilly course. Racing shoes.
Thursday: 2:46 road quality start, deteriorating to trudge. Knackered. Toe sore.
Friday: 3m very easy country shuffle. Toe very bad.
Saturday: 96 mins park and road Adductors sore, knee twinge. Ache toe.
Sunday: 2:29 country run with faster small road sections. Toe sore.
Today: 40 mins easy.
My toe is a 24/7 problem, the result of an operation to remove two bones a few years ago, leaving arthritis in joint. Trainers have to be laced only at shoe top, and cut away around big toe area. Inner sole with section cut out so part of the foot is ‘suspended’ sometimes helps. All plodding done for a very warm London trudge.
Above has been typical since starting before Christmas. Mostly trudge pace. Exercises on top. Not run with anyone ... but 99.9% of the past has been training alone.
Now to ease down a little with only one excessive up to 3 hrs left, but not a total legless.
How to trudge in the race is a problem. Slow start means I get trapped with bottle necks down the field, faster start means if I get it too wrong, I blow up .. and we are talking 3:45 => 4 hours here.
So there you have it. You should now have a clue, there’s no stopping me  ... get your quids in.
                                               Trudging in vain??? Colin
